Generally, I get most of my maintenance and servicing done by an independent, however on the few occasions I've dealt with the service team at West Coast BMW it's been very good. Recently, they carried out additional checks on a new (2nd hand) car for me and in addition to the recall notice they found another than had not been done by the previous owner so they also completed that.
Always been easy to deal with, they do what they say they'll do and provide prices to carry out work and then stick to them.
Yes, it's a dealership so you'll pay more than elsewhere, but I've always had good service and they still treat my 18 year old car with care and attention (definitely can't say the same for other places where an 'old car' means they can mess it up however they like and then either lie and tell you they didn't do it or just say, it doesn't matter because it's a old car).
